Mother Nature

I would like to put those struck by the ghastly habits of Mother Nature in my thoughts. Natural disasters are a true travesty that tear people apart – all the hard work they put into their properties and all the belongings that become scattered debris. I wish nothing but hope upon all of you and my condolences to anyone who has lost someone at the hand of Mother Nature.

But I must say, I’ve seen so many #prayerfornepal that it got me thinking – you’re all hypocrites. Firstly, natural disasters happen on the daily; sink holes, tsunami’s, cyclones, earthquakes and the terrible bush fires that are not always caused by Mother Nature but she certainly knows how to blow it out of proportion.

Yes they’re bad, I do get it. I’ve never suffered from any natural disasters (touch wood) and I hope that it stays that way. But you’re a hypocrite, we all are. We all, in one way or another, have helped the waters rise. Climate change my friends, it’s the big issue. I’m not an expert, but I’ve read enough and seen enough an soon enough, it’ll be a scene out of the film “The Day After Tomorrow”.

Chemicals, cars, electricity, houses – it all impacts how the world responds to us. It’s a big issue and it’s killing hundreds at a time as well as injuring thousands in the process. Our simple or extravagant lifestyles impact the earth in such a way that it’s seeking revenge.

You’re a hypocrite to pray for someone you’ve assisted in killing. For years you’ve been warned, and now it’s too late.

I’m not going to change my lifestyle, I understand my consequences and if the universe had a legal system we would probably all be an accessory to the fact. You all probably think I am a cold-hearted bitch, don’t think I don’t already know this though. A terrorist attack we pray for, a natural disaster we should be fighting to reduce if not stop. We have an influence on nature more than we do a terrorist.

Don’t pray for something you encouraged.
