When I was a young girl, I announced to my family and a hundred other humans at my dance concert that I wanted to be a giraffe when I grew up. This creature is so beautiful and unique that I just smile when I see one – heck I don’t have a zoo membership for nothing!
The African wildlife is absolutely stunning, something I’m very eager to see first hand. Most people will want to visit continents such as America, Europe or Asia, but Africa has always been at the top of my bucket list. Personally, I figure you can visit Europe or America at any point in your life and it will probably never change dramatically. However Africa changes based upon our climate, the illegal hunters and the endangered species – they will change dramatically and if you don’t do it now, you never will.
Just last week I spontaneously applied to volunteer in this amazingly cultured country and I was accepted. I cannot even describe just how excited I am to be able to visit the country but with the ability to experience so much more than just your average tourist.
A year from now, I’ll be heading towards Ghana on a mission to make even the slightest of changes in someone’s life. I’ve never been more excited to think I could help a village even if I’m only lending them my two hands.
A whole new experience on its own.
Oh I’m so excited!
